decided to sneak in a post while waiting for my cake to cool down after taking it out from the oven. at 3am. this cake business thing is driving me crazy. but it's alright 'cos baking to meet a (order) deadline is really better than sketching/CAD-ing/writing to meet a deadline. seriously, even the washing-up part seems therapeutic. :)
the business has been rather successful, considering we have a regular stream of orders coming in, although we don't really have a brand yet, thanks to our friends and colleagues. you can check out our progress and portfolio here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/39534048@N02/ however, the accounting is just totally madness. I could still keep up with it when I was not working. but now that both of us are holding full time job, we don't really have time to calculate our P&Ls. I can only say we are making money, but i'm not sure how much and this is not considering our time/effort yet.
speaking of my current full time job, I have, since my last blog entry, moved on to a new workplace. my commuting time is now triple of that for my last job and i've been looking for new ways to spice up my journey. the new phone (HTC Touch Diamond 2) has been a great companion so far and I'm still exploring new uses for the phone and I'm still liking it!
alright, think it's time to go back to the cake... shall continue my update soon.

the dragonboat race
is over!
good thing about the spirit after competitions is tt it's always very very positive about improving ourselves, improving the skills and fitness and team spirit
this time round, i hope it's for real! with quite a few of my own batch's team mates willing to train together, it's going to be fun....
bad thing is, i can feel the fatigue kick in very fast, and go away very slowly... inevitable effect of growing old :(

for the first 3 days of the week i attended a facilitation course with some of my colleagues
it was a really enjoyable and effective course, and very importantly, food, coffee and tea were provided all day round. still, we were all drained at the end of each day cos it was so intensive
at the same time it was also a nice bonding session that brought us from different departments closer
at the end of the 3 days, i felt a tinge of sadnesss in my heart, like how i would feel usually when a good camp breaks
not only because we have to go back to work
but also because back in the office, we may not get to interact like this anymore and slowly drift apart
