what can i say? i will need much more preparation the next time i run a long distance race like this.
1. need to have more sleep
2. need to drink more water
3. need to eat more carbo 2 days before
4. wear sleeved teeshirt
5. should do something about the knees
yeah, my knees are kind of busted now. actually it's been like that whenever i run recently. not sure if it's because i ran on the treadmills quite a bit while travelling. could be my posture when i run too. argh.
i managed to jog continuously at a consistent pace until 11km, when i started to walk/jog. during my run, i felt hunger, muscle and mental fatigue. for one part, i even felt ultra-sleepy. thankful for the deep-heat rub stations... managed to relieve the knees temporarily. on the whole, i thought it wasn't a stamina problem. it was a mental fight within oneself to keep one going. i succumbed and for the latter half of the run, i ran with knitted brows. i just felt so 痛苦 :(
along the way there were people of all sorts running, and especially inspiring are those whom i would have never thought of seeing... such as the fatter, older...sorry for stereotyping, but aiyoh i think i will add them to my list of motiations to come out of my comfort zone.

Try the full one next yr. It's nothing like the half. Nothing at all.
