episode 3 Florence

this post has been really late cos i have been busy last wk with an impt thing.. MY BIRTHDAY!!! celebration began promptly at 12am of 26th may and it was a pleasant surprise. went to aperitivo later tt night and i was presented this part of bright orange shorts! so happy! cos stupid me forgot it wld be hot in italy and i brought no shorts. yeah, btw it was a scorching 33degC yesterday. Turin is the hottest city in Italy now! We also went to Cinque Terre, this coastal region with 5 little towns. We spent the whole day climbing the hills to travel from the 1st to the 4th and took a train from the 4th to the 5th cos we were too exhausted. Had a bad muscle ache from the waist down the next day but it's all worth it. You will noe why when u see the photos!

back to Florence or Firenze(in italian)

this is a bird's eye view of the city from Michaelangelo Piazza. One of the 2 fako David stands in the middle of the piazza.

took a walk down from the piazza and we passed by this rose garden with many different kinds of flowers. thought this one looks like a morning glory so as usual, we fooled around with it...

down the hill, across the Fiume Arno (Arno River), there is the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge). thought this is the most interesting part of the bridge..

ON the middle of the bridge, there's a a fenced statue of dunno-who. And dunno since when, visitors have been locking their locks ard the fence, supposedly for good luck. And we heard you are supposed to throw the keys to the lock into the river. See my lock with my name and date on it?

See the towers in the background?

On the way back to Turin, we made a quick dash for the leaning tower in Pisa. We only spent 2 hours stopover there and you see everybody making this pose:
