at the NUS museum. went to do some site research for the exhibition proj. popped by the galleries. one of them was showcasing some modern artists from china. the atmosphere was rather eerie cos of the abundant space, and the installations there. and also mainly bcos.. i was alone there..
behind those hollow, soul-less eyes, each 'doll' seems to haf a story of his own.
another rather unique installation there.. make a guess wat's tt..

did u guess correctly? those are SHOES!

made of....
HUMAN HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now there.. can u see the strands of hair? look like some wool fibre rite? the artist supposedly made a few millions of them.. hair collected from few millions of ppl.
later in the evening, i went to indochine wisma with yx.

based on her recommendation, we had this house salad and also the popiah-like wrap, together with some drinks. i really can't remember the names, cos they are in the laotian language..

our verdict? the food was good.. we ordered rather light dishes and the ingredients tasted really fresh. the sauces were fantastic, complimented the dish very well... but it isn't really wallet-friendly. good place for chill-out with friends, not an ideal place for a romantic meal with ur other half though, cos u really gotta shout sometimes to be heard. there's a live band playing. but not a good place to stay long, cos it's damn crowded, and there's always a queue out there.. so, it's damn stressful, esp if u sit near the entrance. still, it's opened til 7 am.. u can choose to go at an more un-earthly time to patronise the place.
