i was on the bus today when i suddenly realise it was crawling at such a slow speed that it was making me bus sick. looking out of the window, i couldn't see a thing! then it suddenly dawned upon me that it was pitch black outside. there was no street lights and the traffic lights were off thing! and i had no idea where i was!!! fearing that i had missed my bus stop i went down to the lower deck and went to ask the driver where we were. while talking to him, the bus nearly collided with another car at a junction. but luckily both vehicles were travelling at a slow speed, so... phew.
later i found out from tv mobile that the black out was due to some problems with the source of natural gas from Indonesia. and only parts of Singapore were affected.
the good thing is, the lights returned after a while. so hopefully not too much damage was done. though on the way, i saw this 'fatal accident' sign along the road and an ambulance rushing somewhere..
