so much to say today

shit just realised that i had a missed call from one of the design firms this evening. oh no.. please call again!

...

had a dinner with the tutors the other day at this teochew restaurant along amoy st. my father dropped me early somewhere near cantonment road. so i decided to take a stroll and ended up at the ann siang hill! it's a nice part of the tanjong pagar district that has been paved and sheltered as a walkway connecting amoy st, club st and ann siang rd. there's also a spiral staircase leading up to a sheltered rest area. i saw this angmoh lady in officewear, carrying her dinner, walking along one of the alleys between the shophouses and then entered one of the backdoors, up to her apt...okay, this last bit is made up by myself. but it's a really quiet and peaceful place to go home to after a tiring day at work. ahhh... there was a group of folkies doing taichi in a little courtyard, 2 angmohs filming them... there were also quite a few cats loitering/lazing ard... how nice how nice

anyway i was trying to discover the place, like a tourist. trying to imagine it's not singapore. but who was i trying to kid? the humidity killed me. it was evening time but i started to sweat within minutes already. lucky the trail is rather short and i ended it at amoy st where i was supposed to meet the others.

the dinner

started painfully. i hate small talks. but as it turned out, i didn't have to make any! somehow i am thankful for the weird combi in my table..hurhurhur. i think 2 yrs ago, i wouldnt have imagined sitting next to this part time tutor through a dinner. yet, somehow, everybody was quite comfortable and then another tutor sitting with us started telling us about how he hate fake boobs. i think it must be the vino.

world cup

suddenly realised the teams tt i support are always playign the 3am matches! portugal, italia, brazil...!!! buay tahan la...

well anyway, after the dinner, we went to chijmes for some birra and calcio. "al fresco soccer. soccer at its freshest?" it's fun to have company to cheer together but sigh, can't afford to have too many. think next time i might have to hit the kopitiam or 24 hr macs to save some money for the cabbie.
