how's the CNY celebrations been? it's been quite nice and sweet for me since nobody has mentioned 'you've grown fat!' and the first day was really enjoyable. spent time with the old folks at my uncle's, don't they get more adorable as they grow older? hee... it was also a nice gathering with the cousins over some wine and bah-kua. rounded the day off at hill bistro on the top of mt faber, with nice view, nice breeze and good company. i like this new year man! they told me last year they spent some time hovering around the computer to look at the pictures i sent from italy on photobucket. awww.. i was really very touched that they actually bothered to do so..
surprisingly, nobody talked about my pending graduation from uni, and my job prospects, etc topics that i really want to avoid
only one cousin smartly asked 'so do you think you can get first class?', 'oh so are you trying for a second upper?'

kept my emotions to myself and i could only politely explained, 'it's not too easy to get these classes for my course', 'in fact, i'm trying for a third'..
lucky for me, that was on my second day of CNY. and i heard no more from then onwards.

found a good fix for my torino-sickness (which has been getting worse since i keep seeing those torino2006 winter olympics XX ads on tv). thanks to the internet. i can tune to italian radio! found many many links here but the one i kept listening to is Radio Italia from Milan. It's like damn nice cos they play many canzoni by the cantanti i recognise, and the DJs keep saying 'allora'. haha. figured that it will be a good way to help me remember the language and pick up words here and there.
meanwhile, i've also trying to stop myself from wasting too much time in the blogsphere. so there'll be only weekly updates on fridays from now onwards. thou shalt read blogs on fridays only too..
so slap me if you see me write/read on non-fridays
