read blogs and heard stories about crowded places and undesired harrassments by unpleasant passers-by.
surprisingly the places i went to was nothing like that.
dinner was at TCC at circular road, near boat quay.
counted-down at chijmes.
in my opinion, chijmes was close to ideal. there was a stage with a live band and a few stalls by the side selling drinks and party kits. there was enough space for individual groups of people to gather and have fun by themselves, yet close enough to share the festive mood. there were mostly expats/tourists, some families and young adults around.
HOWEVER, we were not spared from the aerosol spray cans. i thought i almost choked to death from inhaling too much particles from the cans. but it's still good, really, it created good atmosphere especially during the countdown.
yes.. a great beginning.. that's what i need.
more importantly, it was celebrated in good company. i can't remember when we started to celebrate occasions together but i do wish we will have many many years to come.
cheers!
