the royal family

Danish Princess enters maternity hospital: press
Danish Crown Princess Mary was admitted to the maternity ward of Copenhagen's university hospital, where she was awaiting the birth of her first child, media here reported.
A crowd of reporters and photographers were camped outside the entrance of the Rigshospitalet hospital awaiting news of the birth, which had been due on October 27.
Born in Australia as Mary Donaldson, the 33-year-old married Queen Margrethe II's eldest son Frederik, 37, in May 2004.
It is still unknown whether the royal couple are expecting a boy or a girl, but the Danish government has already proposed scratching the country's royal succession law, which in its current form would force a first-born girl to cede the throne to a younger brother.
The palace remained silent on the news of the imminent arrival of a new member of the royal family, despite growing rumours that the princess had already given birth.
She was admitted to hospital on September 13 complaining of early contractions but was allowed to leave two days later.

This piece of news caught my eye today. Ahhh.. the Danish royal family. The crown princess was a commoner until she married the crown prince. ahhh... there must have been some kind of cinderella love story in there. hehehe

Think before I went for exchange, I only knew the British royal family - william, harry, charles, diana, elizabeth (and now camillia too)... Like many other Singaporeans, I'm totaly ignorant to the other royalties of the Europe continent.

Now, i know how much Spanish n Brits disregard their aristocrat. The trip to Scandinavia also let me see how much they love their royal families. Never is there a postcard that make fun of them like there is in UK. You MUST see the swedish family ... the girls are chio and i think the prince is single... ahahahha
