NUS Central Lib

blogging away in the renovated library during the long break in between the commencement ceremonies.

i must comment on the newly renovated library. it looks really different from how it looked before. the seats and sofa looks new and welcoming in the warm colours (though the material is quite sucky). the design looks more modern with the ambient lighting and glass panels. the computers look cool with the small cpu. on the whole, it makes me feel like hanging out in the library more often. oh, did i mention also that there is also a light refreshment lounge not food-sold-over-counter style, just 3 vending machines : drink, sandwich, snacks). there's also a charging base for laptops so there wun be unsightly wires lying all around the place.

i used to hate come to the school library to do research. i'm always skeptical of the books i can find in the old and humid looking place. just recently, i accompanied xy to the lib to borrow some aki books to read over what's remaining of the hols. den i realised there are SO MANY interesting design books available on the shelves. it's really amazing. tt day i chose 3 books to borrow home.

how i wish i discovered the library sooner. how i wish the library was renovated earlier.
