SDBF 2004

WE WON! WE WON! WE WON!!!
haha it was definately THE RACE of the year. the ALUMNI won the mixed open category with a convincing lead! much ahead of even NJC! woohoo! the first gold medal for alumni!
the boat was FLYING! at first i thought i was dreaming when i couldnt see any boat beside us.. but i wasnt! and we rowed even harder in fear we die out, and they catch up. the final results >> 1st NJC ALUMNI 2nd NJC B 3rd NJC A

the gold medal definately made up for the disappointment the girls had over the women's open semis earlier on. we had a good race. but we started behind everybody else and we only realised we were actually 4th instead of 3rd in the last part of the race cos we couldn't see ntu boat away in lane 1. argh lost to the national team, ntu n nus boats. a BIG disappointment cos our timing was actually faster than the ntu boat during the heats.

we had a good meal at SAKURA at far east, courtesy of the capt Adrian and vice capt Ben chew. before we went down for the mixed event, we made adrian promise to treat dinner if we get the gold medal. haha he must haf not expected that coming.

had a great day yesterday! oh ya and it was father's day too! i quarelled w my father in the morning actually. so i went to goodwood park hotel to buy their famous durian megapuffs as a present for him. 4 for abt 16 bucks. but they were great! it was like eating durian burgers.. haha ok only for durian lovers. a great way to end a great day!
