wat a f*cked up school

a slack start to the new sem. today is the 2nd day I'm home by 1pm. the other 2 days i were out shopping, watching movies, haf watched 2 since. should enjoy while i still can.

the bizad faculty has decided to opened a new class exclusively for us. It was confirmed on tuesday. So some of my classmates who took an extra mod hurriedly dropped it before they were penalised. And today, things took an unexpected turn.

halfway thru our Mechanical Engineering module, the lecturer suddenly said we may not be able to continue w it. it was our 2nd lect, and some of my frens had already photocopied the textbook. later we realised we din fulfil the prerequitsite and left during the break.

how can such a thing happen? this is an university!
somemore this module was allocated to us! we didnt even have to bid for it. that was why the CORS system did not detect that we didnt fulfil the prerequisite. we went to the secretary of the faculty and she once again, advised us to take other modules. at this stage??!! it's ridiculous. the more we thought of it, the more bu shuang we were. so we went straight to the ID head's office. we wanted him to help us find a core module now. apparently he isnt very familiar with the essential modules we haf already cleared, and he isnt very familiar with the modules that the bizad and engine are offering too. our course is supposed to be a joint course by the archi, bizad and engine faculties so i will expect him to know what are the modules that are suitable for us from these faculties. he went to the module websites like how the we the students do when we are choosing modules, to read the description and decide whether they are suitable anot. oh my god! i expected the 3 faculties to have better communication and of course, the profs and lecturers to have better access to the content of the curriculum. and he din even noe the website to go.

oh ya, what was the reason, or rather, excuse, for this cock up, was, he looked at the module description of the ME module, which was named 'DESIGN PROCESS' and thought the module suit us. bet he din even read. bet he juz looked at the name and thought, 'oh there's a word design in it! my students will be able to handle it!' how can he overlook the prerequisite!

i really can't believe it...
