yest was the first time i tried waiteressing. it was a totally new experience for me, luckily there was yx there to accompany me. the others were nice to guide me along also. was really worried i may spill smthg..esp when i'm opening a bottle cap. phew luckily i didnt! didnt break any plates or glasses also.. almost dropped cutlery, but i managed not to..i was asked to polish the cutlery juz b4 closing, it was rather boring, but i take it as part of wat newcomers haf to do. at the end of it all i couldnt wait to sit down on the floor and change out of the heels.. my legs were ssooooooooo tired.
the rest was operated by true blue italian bosses who looked and acted like godfathers..but like most angmos, they were frenly and easy going. and they gave me a new name - LAURA! haha. laura as in LAU-RA. weird pronounciation but haha it was quite farnie when i couldnt respond to tt name.
it reminded me of my days in HMV. i missed those days, and the ppl too... most of them are not working there anymore, and there's a few i will really like to get in touch w, but dun dare to cos i'm not sure if we still can hang out the way we did last time. i really like the working envt, selling music, smthg i really enjoy, making good recommendations to the customers.the bad thing is juz the pay and an unreasonable management. hopefully i can adapt to the waiteressing job and enjoy it as much. i foresee tt wun be hard. ")
